A late submission to Kaden's birthday book was dropped off at Conrad's work today. A friend of of ours knows someone who made this happen. Kaden was thrilled!

Today we said our final goodbyes to a coworker.

Her life was well celebrated today as people shared what they had learned from her and how she lived. I wore these shoes in her honour because her sense of style and her life's motto to "wear the shoes" is one I want to remember. Celebrate life. Hold those you love close to you. Be kind. Tell people you love them. Be there for people. You never know when you won't be there to wear the shoes and so wear them whenever you can.

Even though it is Saturday, Kiandra had to put in some hours of school. This is the view from the parent room of the tutoring trailer...you can see the reflection of the laptop that I brought along to edit Grade 1 toothpaste commercials while I waited for Kiandra.

Date night while Kiandra finished up another LONG day on set and Kezia and Kaden were at youth. I think Friday nights might be one of my favourite nights of the week.

What was left of the snack I brought to the "soccer moms only windup" this evening. I'm always so glad that Kezia plays with such nice girls but after spending an evening with their moms I realized that the apples are not falling too far from the tree! Technically not April 5th anymore but Kiandra's wrap time was listed as 27:45 so I think the movie business still considers it part of yesterday. It was a long cold day on set and we pulled into the garage at 4:09am.

It was take your Mom to work today as Kiandra began her movie stand in job. It was cool to see her name listed after the "real" actors in the movie on the emailed schedule. I was thankful for the chance to be on set with her during the day. Her call time was 9:00 this morning and she was wrapped at 4:45. This is will be one of the few day shifts she'll have during her tenure.
