Our published Grade 1 book arrived today! This year we used David Shannon as our inspiration as my uber talented Grade 1 friends wrote and illustrated their "Be a Friend, David!" book. This is the 6th Grade 1 book that I have helped my class publish...book arrival day is still super exciting! (This pic was posted on our class instagram account is a sneaky way of getting a class photo without breaking our "no faces" rule. :)

Kaden's school choir is singing at a big concert event this weekend and tonight was a practice run. Even though the venue has terrible parking and is not in the most ideal location, you really can't help but admire the beauty and the acoustics of this building.

So I volunteered to be a baker for Kaden's Grade 8 class's gingerbread house project. I decided to bake the pieces at school and then promptly burned 2 pans! Thankfully the pans that got burnt were Kaden's pieces and I was able to remake the pieces and bring them to school in time for the assembly portion of the project.
